The University of Colorado Professional Golf Association Professional Golf Management program is alive and well in the College of Business Administration. The program is in its second year with 58 students and there have already been thirty-five applications accepted for next fall, according to Doug Wert, Program Director. The department is not totally funded by our state and must secure private support through grants and scholarships.

The student association in the PGM program must also support itself and one way they do this is through its annual Family and Friends golf tournament. This year's tournament will be held on May 14th at the program's home course which is the Pine Creek golf course. Pine Creek, managed by Escalante Golf, Inc. with Elcio Silva as the general manager, is the only golf course connected with the 15 programs through our country which provides free golf for PGM students.

The tournament features students and their families and will be followed with an awards banquet at the Wyndham Hotel where Chris Hunkler, Managing Director of PGA membership programs, will be the keynote speaker.

The tournament will be limited to 120 golfers and the entry fee is $110 for golf only, $160 for golf and the banquet and $55 for dinner only.

Companies and individuals interested in supporting the UCCS PGM program may do so by sponsorships, which include $5,000 for title sponsors, $3,000 for gold sponsors, and 150 for tee sponsors. Contact Doug Wert directly by phone 719-262-3405, or email pgmpro@uccs.edu.
