LARCHMONT GOLF COURSE, MISSOULA, MONTANA

In the valley that is Missoula, Montana will be found the Larchmont Golf Course. This is a delightful pasture, or parkland as it would be called in Scotland, venue. What you will like most about it is that the fairways are very friendly to both fades and draws. Even the rough is friendly because you can usually find your ball within the five-minute limit. The surrounding mountains give a nice panorama. In this area of Montana there is no tree line. They just pop up on the tops of what we in Colorado would call foothills. There are not an abundance of bunkers, and most of the water holes are not particularly challenging. The greens are fast and require a bit of study to get down in two. One negative is that if you are a single and need a cart they are going to charge you the full price.

I enjoyed my day on this course and was impressed that it only took four hours to play. My provisional rating for this course is 7.2. This means Larchmont is very friendly. Your day can be spent trying some shots you might not usually try.
